Irish people are eating more fast food - resulting in an increase in weight.
Between 1999 and 2008 - Irish people ate 12.3 more fast food meals a year - resulting in an increase in Body Mass Index.
Ireland had the third highest rate of increase among high income countries - behind Canada and Australia.
The results are published in the latest bulletin from the World Health Organisation.
