If you don’t find it – it will find you.  Electric Picnic has won several awards since last September, including a Best Mid-Sized European Festival, Best Irish Festival, Greenest Festival & an IMRO Best Festival Award and.

  • Timetable and Do's & Don't's

    With only days remaining, here are some do's and don'ts to read over. We also stuck in some Q&A's at the bottom that we are getting asked a lot. There is also some bus information and links to various timetables.

  • Today FM at Electric Picnic

    Yes folks, your favourite radio station will be taking over a small area of the Stradbally Hall grounds to bring you coverage of all that Electric Picnic has to offer this weekend.

     

    Kicking off the festival weekend, The Ray Foley Show will be broadcasting from the campsite on Friday 2nd September, as music fans stream into the venue and set up camp for a weekend of fun and frolics.

    Later that same day, The Last Word with Matt Cooper will be in situ in the Spoken Word area of Electric Picnic, bringing you a flavour of the non-music side ...

  • The Salty Dog at EP

     

    That flea-ridden pub-tanned charmer of the Electric Picnic, the Salty Dog, heaves itself up and smiles as another day dawns.

    The faded red shipwreck, once a proud vessel of the seas, now lies in the woods at Stradbally in decadent retirement, lowering the tone and living the life of a strawberry-nosed ex-pat with a few bob, but not quite enough.

    The Electric Picnic additions just keep on coming with more exciting acts being added to the line up, this time to it’s the turn of the Little Big Tent at the festival.

    Headliners for the tent already include FLYING LOTUS, BOYS NOIZE, PAUL KALKBRENNER, DAVE CLARKE and ADAM BEYER. The Little Big tent is the most dance-based of the stages at Electric Picnic and over the weekend will see world-renowned DJs, producers and mixers bring the beats to the Picnic that will keep you dancing into the early hours of the morning.

  • Bacardi Get Together line-up confirmed

    BACARDI is delighted to announce the line-up for The BACARDI Get Together arena for Electric Picnic this year. The now legendary arena will provide surroundings perfectly encompassing both a new place to soak up the festival atmosphere together over a BACARDI cocktail and the ultimate place to party. With an eclectic spread of DJs over the course of the three days in Stradbally, it is set to bring a bit of Latin spirit to all who attend the festival.

    Today FM will be visiting Stradbally Hall en masse this year as we broadcast several shows live from Electric Picnic 2011

    Not content with having brought you live broadcasts from Sea Sessions, Oxegen and Indiependence so far this year, we’re going to round out the summer in style with Paul McLoone, The Ray Foley Show, and The Last Word with Matt Cooper all coming to you live over the weekend of 2nd-4th September from Ireland’s finest music and arts festival.

  • Craftitecture Winner Announced

    The Crafts Council of Ireland, (CCoI), and the Irish Architecture Foundation are delighted to announce the winners of Craftitecture, a competition to design a pavilion for the Electric Picnic.

    The winning team are Bucholz McEvoy Architects and Jim Horgan, master boat builder with the Galway School of Boat Building. Their innovative design features a dynamic space constructed using the form of Currachs which will move on horizontal and vertical axes to form an open space when in use and a closed sculptural form in the evening.
