Special Needs Assistants are to be balloted on a possible strike.
They'll decide in September whether or not they'll take industrial action after hundreds of SNAs lost their jobs yesterday.
The redundancies are to make way for 975 new posts created by the Department of Education.
Existing assistants are allowed to reapply for the new roles.
But SNA Patricia Fanning says it's disrespectful to ask them to do that:
