Primary school teachers have voted in favour of industrial action in a row over a ban on promotions in schools
Teachers voted by a majority of 97 per cent in favour of action.
The Irish National Teachers Union says it want promoted posts lost over the last 8 years to be reinstated.
It claims the ban has hit the career posts of its members and increased the workload on teachers.
A directive on non-cooperation will issue to all schools in the coming days.
INTO general secretary, Sheila Nunan says teachers are fed up.
