Thousands of people are taking to the roads this evening as the Bank Holiday exodus gets underway.
The Road Safety Authority is advising people to slow down and never ever drink and drive.
It comes after 12 people lost their lives over the past 6 days on the roads - 5 in Donegal alone.
The Chairperson of the RSA Liz O'Donnell says it's incredible that people are still are still not belting up in cars.
