Mario Rosenstock and Ian Dempsey announced on Today FM’s Breakfast Show that they will return to the Olympia Theatre in Dublin on Thursday, 15th of December, for a Gift Grub Live 2 Show entitled ‘The Saint Vincent Special’, with ALL proceeds going to St. Vincent de Paul.
On hearing that Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac cancelled his Olympia date next week, Mario and Ian jumped at the chance to do their bit for charity this Christmas.
The tickets for Gift Grub Live 2 - The Saint Vincent Special will go on sale this Friday, 9th December, at 10am and will be available through Ticketmaster, who have agreed to waive their administration fee, as have all staff working on the show. So, from the €25 ticket price, every single cent will go direct to St. Vincent de Paul!
When deciding what charity they should nominate to benefit from the ticket sales, both Ian and Mario felt St. Vincent de Paul, could put the money to work immediately through the provision of practical assistance to those in need this Christmas.
