Ray Foley & the Team!
Ray

Ray Foley hails from Ballina in County Mayo, where he’s also from. His first foray into the heady world of radio was age 16, when he entered a competition run at the time by living legend, Tony Fenton. It is now widely held against Tony for giving Foley his first break.
Leaving home for Dublin in 1998 was the highlight of Ray’s pathetic life, next to meeting Ray D’Arcy. He says meeting all the lovely people in his journalism course in DIT was so much fun also. Every single one of those people is now a lifelong friend.
He met his wife Kate in his last job but says he’s only married to her because the rent’s cheaper. After a stint reading radio news and then presenting “the best evening show in Dublin” (his words) Foley started working here at Today FM in 2004, at the age of 23
Now he’s a little older, he’s come to regret his decision, but we have him on contract for the rest of his life. He’s also signed over his soul, which might come in handy someday. Ray likes cooking, reading, warm company and a good chat. He’s not looking for anything serious, but wouldn’t mind if it developed into that.
Foley Facts:
1. Do you like pointless radio DJ surveys on websites? No.
2. What’s your favourite colour? Blue
JP

Dundalk to the bone, he is part of that golden generation of talent that produced Steve “we showed a lot of character” Staunton as well as Andrea Corr, Caroline Corr, Sharon Corr, Jim Corr and non-Corr, Foreign Minister Dermot Ahern.
A keen golfer, JP is also the proud holder of a degree (honours) in Journalism, as opposed to Ray's degree (pass) in Journalism, and Adelle's degree (non-existent) in nothing.
Known variously around the Today FM building as: "PJ" ”yer man” “short fella…..about yay high…..hangs around with Foley……no?” And “doesn’t ring any bells”.
PS: For those of you who want to know what “JP” stands for, it’s simple: JP stands for the national anthem; older people on buses; judges entering court-rooms; truth, justice and the American way.
Adelle

Adelle McDonnell is the producer and official nanny of Ray and JP on the show. A media and journalism graduate, she worked as part of the Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show team for 6 years, and produced Martin "scattered showers in the south east" King's Saturday morning show before making the move to lunch time, and a pokey office. Really it's because the mornings were too early!
When she's not producing the Meteor award winning lunchtime show (12 to 2.30pm Monday to Friday on Today FM), keeping the lads in check and generally holding things together, Adelle likes walking her dog, driving nice cars, sleeping and - like all girls - she hates people who spit and really hates getting her photo taken.
Some things Adelle has learned since working with Ray & JP:
Ray is obsessive about pens, he loves them and gets angry if you steal them!
JP has a degree which he likes to mention, gets bloated a lot and has only three t-shirts, which he rotates.
And remember, it's Adelle. NOT Edel. Time for num nums lads!
