Ed Hayes
Ed Hayes, The Sunday Supplement’s US Correspondent, is an American lawyer living in New York.
Hayes is known for his role in settling the estate of Andy Warhol and has represented several organized crime figures. The well-known lawyer is also the basis for The Bonfire of the Vanities character Tommy Killian.
Hayes grew up in Queens and has worked as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx.
He has a flamboyant sense of style and has been inducted into Vanity Fair's international best dressed hall of fame. Andy Warhol said of him: ‘He looks like he was from Laverne and Shirley, like a plant that people invite to parties to wear funny clothes and jump around and make things “kooky”.’
