Anton Savage started in radio in his teens, contributing to programmes like Today with Pat Kenny, Marian Finucane and The Dave Fanning Show. While studying for a degree in English, Anton continued to contribute to radio shows and began writing for a number of newspapers, ultimately including The Mail, The Mail on Sunday, the Sunday Independent and the Irish Independent. He is now a columnist with the Evening Herald.

After graduating, Anton continued as a freelance journalist and broadcaster while working full-time in a communications consultancy. After a number of contributions to The Last Word, Matt Cooper offered him the opportunity to stand in for him presenting the show, something Anton continues to do. That led to RTE asking Anton to deputise for Ryan Tubridy and then Today FM asking him in to provide holiday cover for Ray D’Arcy. That brought him to the attention of the people who make The Apprentice, who asked him to present the after-show The Apprentice, You’re Fired! which he has done since 2010

In 2008 Anton led a consortium to launch a new company called The Communications Clinic, which provides communications training and advice to individuals and companies. In the same year Anton also wrote a book about Irish political communications titled Spin and Win; How Politicians Get Elected.

At the end of 2010 he joined Conall O’Morain presenting Today FM’s flagship business programme The Sunday Business Show until 2012 when he took over Sunday Mornings from 11am to 1pm.
