Mobile company Three have apologised for suggesting that a customer translate her name into English in order to use their online services.

Caoimhe Ní Cathail was not able to register with the company's website, because it said her surname was "not valid".

The company says it's working to rectify the site's issue with Irish fadas.

Caoimhe told the Last Word she was shocked by Three's first response via Twitter:
