Families Earning Up To 70,000 Euro Entitled To Same Flood Funding As Those On Social Welfare

Joan Burton Made The Commitment Today

Families earning up to 70,000 euro a year will be entitled to the same emergency flood funding as those on social welfare.

Ministers have been visiting flood hit areas in Waterford, Wexford, and Limerick today assessing the damage caused by recent storms.

They've been reviewing the clean up operation and speaking with local people who've been worst affected.

Minister for Social Protection, Joan Burton says the government is prepared to help private homeowners hit by flooding.
