Board says salary is "fair and competitive"

The chief executive of Rehab is paid 240 thousand euro a year.

Angela Kerins' salary has been released after a meeting of the charity group's board of directors.

However it's defended the salary, claiming it's lower than that paid to CEOs in companies of a similar size.

Our political correspondent Gavan Reilly reports;

The CEO of Fundraising Ireland says the 240 thousand euro salary given to Rehab boss Angela Kerins is 'out of kilter' with other salaries in the charity sector.

The charity had been under pressure to reveal the pay of its senior managers as part of the HSE's investigations into how various agencies are spending public money.
