President Higgins lays wreath at graves of executed leaders

The annual commemoration to the men and women who died during the 1916 Rising has taken place in Dublin.

President Michael D Higgins led the tributes at Arbour Hill, laying a wreath in memory of those who died in the fight for independence.

The ceremony was attended by political and religious leaders, as well as the families of 1916 leaders.
