Revenue sniffer dog Ollie made the discovery

The Dog Assisted Customs Officers In Rosslare

Alfie the sniffer dog has helped Rosslare customs officers seize almost 40,000 Euro in cash from a ferry passenger.

The man in his 30s, who's a Polish national, was picked outduring routine profiling this afternoon as he disembarked the boat from France.

In Gorey District Court officers were later granted a 3 month detention order, in respect of the cash, to carry out further investigations.
