About Us

by Today FM

We're the number one station for 15-34 year olds!

Number one for 20-44 year olds.

Number one for in-car listening.

And we're Ireland's most cost-effective national radio station

But the numbers aren't what sets hearts pounding.

What makes us the natural choice for all of those people is our station's unique spirit.

Way back on the 5th January 1998, we set out to create a new kind of radio station. One that wasn't stuffy and backgroundy - we wanted something fresh and youthful. We wanted to be the nation's foreground radio. And the numbers prove that we succeeded.

We became the station to challenge mindsets - of our listeners, commentators, politicians and pretty much anyone else in the country with a mind to set.

Today FM is the home of personality-driven radio in Ireland. Our programming is fun, imaginative, unafraid and tuned in.

Our presenters are some of the country's best-loved household names. From Ray D'Arcy's take on just about everything in Irish culture to Matt Cooper's fearless focus on current affairs, sport and entertainment to Paul McLoone's constant discovery of new and refreshing sounds - our presenters live in a world much bigger than the bedside radio or alarm clock.

Almost a million people listen to Today FM every week. They turn to us for guts, currency and connectedness that they don't find anywhere else. No matter where in the country they are, Today FM speaks to them personally.

That's why more people under 45 listen to us than to anybody else.

Where you'll find us

Today FM broadcasts on frequencies between 100 and 102 FM around Ireland.

We can also be found on UPC Channel 904 and online at todayfm.com/player
