Today FM's Shave Or Dye campaign has resulted in a hair-raising €700,000 for the Irish Cancer Society.

The Irish Cancer Society is delighted to announce that the first ever and hugely
successful Today FM Shave or Dye campaign has exceeded all expectations by raising a massive €700,000 since its launch on February 18th 2010. All proceeds raised are going towards the provision of the Society’s free cancer information service (including the National Cancer Helpline Freefone 1800 200 700), other free nationwide patient care services and the Society’s cancer research activity.
Speaking about the total raised, John McCormack (CEO Irish Cancer Society) said, “The Society would like to pay a special tribute to the creativity and enthusiasm of the public and the Today FM presenters including Ian Dempsey, Mario Rosenstock, Ray D’Arcy, Ray Foley, JP, Tony Fenton, Matt Cooper, Paul McLoone, Alison Curtis and Phil Cawley who either got their hair shaved or hair dyed and in doing so, raised money for cancer care.”

of support for people going through a cancer journey and for cancer survivors," added Jim O’Malley, Corporate
