Concert promoter Denis Desmond explains how the system works

The managing director of MCD Productions, competitor to Aiken Promotions, explains how the licensing system works with Dublin City Council.

He stated that the system “does work and it has worked for 12 years. It hasn’t worked in this case… It’s not the system that has broken down”.

The concert promoter offered his views on the Garth Brooks debacle: that Garth Brooks should play the 3 shows that received licenses and that the other 2 dates should have been re-arranged.
