The search for Katie culminates on The Ray D’Arcy Show

Last Thursday, Jamie Kelly was on a plane back from Spain after a lads holiday. He sat next to a young woman called Katie. They got on like a house on fire and talked all the way home but they got separated at passport control. Jamie waited around the airport, but Katie was gone. All he knew about her was her name, that she was 27, from Canada, a brunette and that she was meeting her mum in Ireland.

Jamie’s mates launched a social media campaign called Love at First Flight to try to find Katie. After a lovelorn Jamie spoke with Ray on Friday, he went on to speak to CBC News in Nova Scotia.

Katie’s sister got in touch with them, found Jamie, gave him Katie’s Facebook page and now they’re hoping to meet up while she is still in the country.

Ray spoke to the love birds on air this morning. Listen back:
