Brand removes wedding ring
Russell Brand may have been joking at the time, but an on camera removal of his wedding ring just one month before his divorce with Kate Perry, is being received as a bad omen.
In November, the 36-year -old comedian got up in front of the camera and recorded a skit about preparing to go on a U.S college tour. "I'm just going to place this some place very safe for the next week," he said while taking off his wedding ring. "I don't know what a sorority is, except for what I have seen on Nudevista-that they are sort of sex clubs for women."
Ironically Perry tweeted a supportive message about her husband at the time. "My fowl (dsic) mouthed Hubby @rustyrockets is playing a few mid-west/east-coast shows starting tonight onwards! SUPPORT!"
In December, Brand filed for divorce from Perry after just 14 months of marriage. Neither party has revealed the official reason for the spilt, but Perry has continues to be active on Twitter. "Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me," she tweeted. "Not a blog, magazine, 'close sources' or my family (sic)," she Tweeted.
Bryan Ferry wed Amanda Sheppard
Roxy Music's Bryan Ferry has married his girlfriend Amanda Sheppard in a "simple, private ceremony".
According to the Daily Telegraph, the veteran singer tied the knot with the fashion PR on January 4 at the exclusive Amanyara resort. The pair have been dating since being introduced by one of Ferry's sons in 2009.
Confirming the marriage, 66-year-old Ferry commented on the 37-year age gap between the pair, saying:
You never meet people your own age who aren’t married. Unless they are divorcees knocking about, that sort of thing.
He also refused to rule out having children with Sheppard, stating: "Oh, I never feel comfortable predicting the future."
Ferry divorced his first wife, Lucy Helmore, in 2003 after 21 years of marriage. He has four sons from the relationship - Merlin, Tara, Isaac and Otis.

According to The Mirror, Mirren was the first choice of the young men (aged 18 to 24) surveyed who voted her as the person they most wanted a 'Mrs Robinson' moment with.
Mrs Robinson, played by Anne Bancroft, seduced Dustin Hoffman's younger character in classic 1960s' film The Graduate.
Actress Jane Seymour, 60, was voted second, with former Countdown presenter Carol Vorderman, 51, in third.
