Create a Sponsorship Page
Follow these instructions to create your own Today FM Shave or Dye fundraising page on MyCharity.ie - our fundraising partners. This will take approximately 5 minutes of your time from start to finish.
NOTE - At the end of this process you will be emailed a link where you can register for a Sponsorship Pack and Sponsorship Card to help boost your efforts.
- Click here to open up mycharity.ie in a new window (this link will take you several steps into the process already and save you some time).
- On this page select the number of months after your Shave or Dye event you would like to keep your fundraising page active. This will give friends and family the ability to give donations even after you have shaved or dyed your hair. Click Continue.
- Enter your email address and select 'I'm new to this site' or sign in if you are already a member.
- Fill in your details as required.
- You will be be brought straight to your very own Shave or Dye fundraising webpage.
You can customise your fundraising page in several ways;
- Give it a web address that you will send out to your friends and family.
- Enter a page title (something like David Byrne's Shave or Dye perhaps).
- Select the date for your Shave or Dye event - by default this will be the 17th February but you may pick any date.
- Choose a fundraising target that you would like to achieve.
- Write a personal message that appears on the page. (We have provided one for you but feel free to change this to include any personal reasons you may have for taking part in Today FM's Shave Or Dye, or encouraging people to sponsor you).
- By default, you will be provided with our Shave or Dye Profile picture but if you have another picture of yourself you can upload it here too.
- And finally, you can add a personal thank you that is sent to whomever sponsors you through your fundraising page. Again, we have provided one for you but feel free to alter this if you wish.
- Finally, click on 'Publish Your Page'
And you're all set! You will be provided with the link to send out to friends and family to let them know of your fundraising efforts - click on this link to see just how great your new webpage looks.
You will also be sent a confirmation email which includes a link where you can register for a sponsorship pack and card.
All that's left is to encourage everyone to get behind you as you try and raise money for the Irish Cancer Society with Today FM's Shave Or Dye! You can share your page with links through Facebook and Twitter to help your fundraising efforts.
