Up to 40 lads lose their passport every weekend according to new figures.
And that's because the little purple books are being shoved into their back pockets.
More than 800 thousand Irish passports will be printed this year - many of them replacements for ones lost in pubs and clubs.
There is even a special machine in the plant that makes them that tests the flexibility of the document because of the expected wear and tear!
