The Taoiseach will meet the British Prime Minister in Brussels this morning ahead of the EU summit.
Theresa May will appeal to EU leaders for more concessions on the backstop.
The EU 27 have made it very clear they won't be re-opening the backstop or any parts of the withdrawal agreement.
However, Theresa May needs to come away with assurances significant enough to sway votes in parliament.
A literal frosty reception for Theresa May today. It’s -1 degrees in Brussels! pic.twitter.com/oSGqeKwuj3

There's some suggestion in Brussels of a legal letter setting out that the backstop won't be permanent - but it will still need to stay in place until a better deal comes along
Having survived her no confidence vote last night Theresa May, will meet the Taoiseach this morning in Brussels before the main event.
She had to cancel a planned trip to Dublin yesterday due to the events in Westminster.
Today, she'll also discuss Brexit with European Council President Donald Tusk.
Ahead of #EUCO I will meet PM @theresa_may for last-minute talks.

However, her pleas for meaningful change may fall on deaf ears.
