International Delicacy with an Irish Twist

While eating escargot in Ireland may not be the done thing, one Carlow based business is hoping to cash in on the popularity of the delicacy on the continent by exporting Irish free-range snails.

Eva Milka is a food lover and moved here from Poland 6 years ago. When she saw the gap in the market she quickly stepped in and started snail farming, firstly in a modest space in her apartment, but she has now moved to a site in Garryhill where she has over one million snails.

Tune into The Sunday Business Show this weekend as Eva invites us all to broaden our taste horizons and try the tastey delicacy enjoyed by many internationally.
