Sinn Féin leader refuses to comment

Gerry Adams is under fire for his response to the conviction of Thomas "Slab" Murphy for tax evasion.

Murphy, who Mr Adams previously described as a "good Republican", was found guilty of nine charges at the Special Criminal Court yesterday.

Mr Adams says he won't be making any comment until the legal process has concluded.

Renua Leader Lucinda Creighton says this position shows Sinn Fein is not fit for Government.

And Labour Party Senator Mairia Cahill, a former Republican, says Gerry Adams is contradicting himself:
