This week's featured business is Sex Siopa.
Set up by Seattle lady(now Dublin based) Shawna Scott, Sex Siopa prides itself on being Ireland's first health and design focused sex shop. But what exactly does that mean?
The mission statement for this business is to give the customers the best experience possible by stocking bodysafe, well designed toys and accessories as well as providing them with current, up-to-date information about toy care, safe sex, and the products themselves.
Fundamentally, there is a lack of international regulation on sex toys and as a consequence harmful chemicals are used in the manufacture of some cheaper sex toys - especially common is the use of a group of chemicals called 'Phthalates' as a plastic softener to give plastic toys a jelly-like feel.
And, with Valentines day just around the corner Shawna would argue that Sex toys make better gifts than chocolate or flowers.
