Will it be Rihanna, Eminem or Johnny Rotten?

The first nominee for Artist of the Week is Rihanna

Rihanna is currently travelling city to city as part of her European tour.

This week she was performing in Berlin and took the opportunity to visit a piece of art that she inspired - a huge, bikini clad sculpture.

The work was inspired by a paparazzi shot of Rihanna on holiday taken in Barbados in 2013.

The piece was created by Colombian artist Juan Sebastián Peláez and is currently on display at the Biennale for Contemporary Art in Berlin.

Rihanna visited the artwork and took a picture of the moment which was later tweeted:

The website for the Biennale gallery describes the art as:

"upright, oversize photo-cutouts of headless human bodies—captured in athletic positions, sporting bikini swimwear, or posing in the limelight in glitzy, bling gowns—with faces surreally integrated into their chests. Both the bodies and faces are sourced from pop queens and soccer stars from the Caribbean or Latin America."

The next nominee for Artist of the Week is Eminem

The Olympics are soon drawing to a close and the newly crowned most decorated Olympian of all time, Michael Phelps has become an object of fascination.

We heard what he eats for breakfast and now it has been revealed what music he listens to before competing.

The swimming star previously told The Guardian:

“I have walked out to race with my headphones on throughout my whole career and listen to music until the last possible moment. It helps me to relax and get into my own little world.”

Now, Phelps has revealed the music that he’s been listening to all these years. In an interview with NBC, the swimmer said that his favourite artist is Eminem and that he also listens to Skrillex and Steve Aoki before taking to the pool.

Phelps says he put on Skrillex's remix of Nero's ‘Promises’ and Aoki and Afrojack's ‘No Beef’ before  winning gold for the Team USA in the 4x100m relay.

The final nominee for Artist of the Week is Johnny Rotten

It hasn’t been a great week for Johnny Rotten.

Rotten, real name John Lydon was performing in Santiago, Chile when an audience member threw a bottle at his head.

The former Sex Pistols singer’s head was split open and his shirt was covered in blood from the incident.

In true punk spirit,  Johnny swore at the assailant, calling him a “***ing coward”, wrapped a towel around his head wound, and continued the gig.

Anger is an energy, after all.
