106 vehicles have been caught speeding on national Slow Down Day.
Gardai have mounted extra speed checks around the country as part of the 24 hour campaign.

Since 7 o’clock this morning 53,460 vehicles were checked for speeding with 106 over the limit.
In Belmullet Co.Mayo One car was caught doing 151 km in a 80 zone – that’s 71 km over!
