A number of others are injured and an investigation is underway

It's thought at least 14 people have been killed after a bus - carrying a junior hockey team - collided with a truck in Canada.

Police say the bus collided with a truck in the province of Saskatchewan.

Officials say a number of others are seriously injured.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says his heart goes out to everyone affected.

RCMP Inspector Ted Munro says a huge investigation is underway.

"Rescue efforts remain ongoing, so at this time obviously our primary focus is to treat the injured and get them to the required medical facilities. So the investigation is at the early on stages."
