A number of businesses have closed completely due to the bad weather.
Others have adjusted their opening hours as people are warned not to go outside after 4 o'clock this afternoon.
Supermarket chains including Tesco, Dunnes and Lidl in Leinster and Munster are closed.

Postal and banking services have also all shut down.
IKEA Dublin in Ballymun and the IKEA Order and Collection Point in Carrickmines will remain closed until further notice due to adverse weather conditions.
