British Prime Minister to Meet Commission President Ahead of Summit
British Prime Minister Theresa May flies to Brussels today in a bid to finalise the Brexit withdrawal agreement before tomorrow's EU summit.
She'll meet EU commission president, Jean-Claude Juncker, hoping to get sign off on the withdrawal agreement text.
However the Spanish Prime Minister is looking for more assurances over Gibraltar, and is threatening to derail tomorrow's summit if they're not met.
After my conversation with Theresa May, our positions remain far away. My Government will always defend the interests of Spain. If there are no changes, we will veto Brexit.— Pedro Sánchez (@sanchezcastejon) November 22, 2018
The Democratic Unionist Party - which props up Theresa May's government - says she's at risk of losing their support if she doesn't change her Brexit proposals.
The DUP is holding its annual conference in Belfast today - and will be discussing concerns around the Border.
But the party's leader Arlene Foster says there is still time for the UK Prime Minister to alter her blueprint.
