Veteran British TV presenter Bruce Forsyth has died, his family has announced.
Forsyth - who was best known for his work on shows such as The Generation Game, The Price Is Right, and Strictly Come Dancing - was 89.
In a statement, his manager said the star passed away this afternoon "surrounded by his wife Wilnelia and all his children".
Mr Forsyth had faced a number of health issues in recent years, but his condition had deteriorated in recent weeks and he had contracted bronchial pneumonia.
The statement adds: "The family would like to express their thanks to the many people who have sent cards and letters to Bruce wishing him well over his long illness and know that they will share in part, the great, great loss they feel."
The entertainer's career spanned more than 70 years, until he permanently stepped down as Strictly Come Dancing host in 2014.
BBC director-general Tony Hall said the presenter's 'warmth and wit were legendary'.
