Thousands of Bus Eireann passengers have been left stranded today as an all out strike at the company got underway at midnight.
The company is in dispute with drivers over proposed cost cutting measures after losing more than 9 million euro last year.
Efforts to broker a deal between the two have collapsed a number of times
The company says the action will worsen its deteriorating financial situation.

Meanwhile Iaranrod Eireann has announced there will be significant disruption to train services because of the bus strike.
There will be limited services on the intercity trains between Dublin and Cork, Limerick, Galway, Sligo, Waterford.
Routes where there will be no trains today include Cork commuter services, Waterford to Limerick Junction and Limerick to Galway lines.
