Carlow remains the county with the highest divorce rate, closely followed by Dublin and Tipperary.
Over 4,100 couples applied for divorce across the country in 2016, while 1,300 applied for judicial separation.
The latest figures from the Courts Service also show that Leitrim had the lowest number of divorce applications - at just 17.
