No arrests have been made during searches of 18 residential properties

A series of raids targeting the Kinahan crime gang are taking place across Dublin and Limerick.

18 properties have been searched so far in the operation, which is being led by the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB).

Among the items seized are €15,000 in cash, luxury watches made by Rolex, Breitling & Cartier, an Audi Q7, a Mercedes Vito, a VW Golf Mark7 GTD and a Honda motorbike.

CAB, assisted by local gardaí, have been searching properties in Dublin 1, 7 and 11 along with the north of the county.

Raids are also being carried out in Limerick.

A number of other searches are said to be ongoing.

Documents and mobile phones are also being examined, and a substantial amount of money in a bank account has also been frozen

No arrests have been made so far.
