A man's body has been discovered in west Cork.
The body of the man was discovered at around half ten this morning outside a house at Direens, Dunmanway in County Cork.
The dead man was in his late 50s - his body has been removed from the scene this evening and has been brought to Cork University Hospital, where a post mortem examination will be carried out.
The results of it will determine the course of the investigation.
The scene's been sealed off and Gardaí in Dunmanway are investigating all the circumstances surrounding his death.
