The Republic of Ireland will wear black armbands for this evening's Nationals League game against Denmark as a tribute to an Irish man who died in Denmark yesterday.

The 30 year old was found in the city's harbour at around 10:30 yesterday morning, and later pronounced dead in hospital.

The FAI has confirmed he travelled to Denmark to support the national team.

It says it's "deeply saddened to learn of the passing of a Republic of Ireland supporter in Denmark."

The association has expressed it's condolences to the supporters family, and says it's working with An Garda Síochána and the Department of Foreign Affairs on the matter.

A minutes silence will also be held before kick-off this evening.
