Gardaí have discovered crystallized MDMA, cannabis resin and herb worth €800,000 in the capital

Gardaí have seized drugs worth around €800,000 in Dublin.

Yesterday gardaí stopped and searched two cars on the M50 as part of ongoing investigations targeting organised crime in Meath and West Dublin.

Cannabis herb worth an estimated €80,000 was discovered alongside €5,000 in cash.

Two men were arrested and during follow-up searches at an apartment complex on the Navan Road.

The searches resulted in the seizure of crystallized MDMA, cannabis resin and herb worth €720,000.

The two arrested men are aged 47 and 58-years-old are currently detained at Finglas Garda Station - where they can be held for up to seven days.

The garda investigation is ongoing.
