A man has pleaded guilty to helping the Kinahan's to kill David Douglas in Dublin two years ago.

Nathan Foley from Loreto Road in Maryland, Dublin 8 pleaded guilty to facilitating the murder.

David Douglas died after being shot six times while working in his partner’s shoe shop of Bridgefoot Street on July 1st 2016.

He was shot dead by a lone gunman just after 4pm that day while eating food at the counter.

This morning, 20 year old Nathan Foley was brought before the non-jury Special Criminal Court where he pleaded guilty to helping a criminal organisation to carry out the murder on dates between the day of the shooting and July 4th 2016.

His sentence hearing is due to take place on December 5th.

Last August, the same court convicted a man of Mr. Douglas’ murder.

It found that Freddie Thompson, who’s also from Loreto Road in Maryland, Dublin 8, played a role in the organisation and execution of the hit.

He is serving a mandatory life sentence for murder.
