In the US, opening arguments for the Jason Corbett murder trial revealed that traces of a sleeping tablet prescribed to his wife were found in the Limerick man's blood.
Molly Martens and her father Thomas Martens are pleading not guilty to killing the Limerick man who was was found dead at his home in North Carolina in 2015.
The jury also heard that Thomas Martens told a 911 operator he hit Limerick man Jason Corbett with a baseball bat on the night of his death.
Jury members have been warned there will be some graphic photographs submitted in evidence.
