PR Company Sorry For Retweeting Satirical Peter Casey Video
The PR agency behind Peter Casey's Presidential bid has apologised for re-tweeting a video which satirised the businessman's Late Late show appearance and his views on the traveling community.
Bannerton PR has since deleted the tweet, and "apologised wholeheartedly" to anyone who may have been offended by the clip.
It features a cartoon of Ryan Tubridy interviewing Mr. Casey, with audio from Joe Joyce interjected into it.
A video satirising Peter Casey’s Late Late Show appearance was mistakenly retweeted by Bannerton and has been withdrawn. The content did not originate in the company, is not supported by it, and cannot be linked to any employee or client.— BANNERTON (@Bannerton_PR) November 14, 2018
However, the company says it doesn't support the content of the video in any way, and shouldn't be linked to any of its employees.
Bannerton PR has also said it is not longer managing Mr. Casey's public relations and cannot comment on his behalf.
The video itself, was also retweeted by Peter Casey himself, and tagged the PR company in his tweet.
Mr. Casey has deleted the tweet this afternoon.
I have removed the cartoon video from my account. I wish to state that Bannerton PR had nothing to do with this video. The content did not originate there and it is not supported by myself or Bannerton. Any enquiry should be directed to its producers, @HappyOutChannel— Peter Casey (@CaseyPeterJ) November 14, 2018
