The long running children's television series Sesame Street has introduced a homeless character.
She's been named Lily.
The people behind the show hope Lily will help young children without a permanent place to live.

The 7-year-old muppet will feature in new videos and story books.
In Ireland, the latest figures from the Department of Housing show there are 9,724 people living in homeless accommodation across the country.
3,725 of that number are children.
