A sports journalist in the UK is being applauded on Twitter after hanging up on a listener for calling her 'love' and 'darling'.
Lynsey Hipgrave was guest presenting on radio station talkSport when a listener phoned in to give their view but she cut him off when he refused to call her by her name.
You wouldn't call Alan Brazil "darling", would you? 🤦♂ï¸@LynseyHipgrave1 was on 🔥 today... 👊ðŸ‘

Sports stars have since come forward in support of her reaction while Lynsey's tweeted to say she found him condescending.
Seems to be an awful lot of people missing the point, sometimes it’s not what you say it’s the way that you say it. Genuine terms of endearment are lovely but the ‘scuse me darling’ was just condescending. He can’t say I didn’t warn him 😂#FFS

Yesterday @lynseyhipgrave1 dealt with a disrespectful caller in a superb way.
However, some believe Lynsey was wrong to react the way she did.
This morning, @laura_woodsy joined @SportsBreakfast and brilliantly explained why the decision to drop the caller was right... ðŸ‘👠pic.twitter.com/ARmJ8OoRPK
