The Taoiseach begins a week long visit to Mali and Ethiopia today.
Leo Varadkar will meet members of the Irish Defence Forces and aid agencies.
He'll also meet key political leaders during the course of the trip.
Junior Defence Minister Paul Kehoe will also be travelling.
