Taoiseach Denies 'Free Meal At Concert' Claim
The Taoiseach has taken to Twitter to deny claims, in a viral social media post, that he was given a free meal at last night's Kylie Minogue gig in Dublin.
An unsubstantiated claim on Facebook alleges that Leo Varadkar and seven others were given a complimentary meal and drinks at the venue.
Leo Varadkar has tweeted to say the story is not true.
He said the group did not even have a meal.
He added that he paid for the drinks and has kept the receipt.
I've been made aware of a post on social media saying I had a free meal at a concert the other night. This is not true. There was no meal, we only had drinks and I paid. I have the receipt to prove it too.— Leo Varadkar (@campaignforleo) December 4, 2018
