It could be months before they're rescued

A Thai football team who've been lost for ten days in a flooded cave have been found safe.

The provincial governor in Chiang Rai announced that all 12 boys and their coach are alive.

The children, aged between 11 and 16, disappeared during an outing in the north of the country last month and it may be months before they're rescued.

Rescue divers finally reached the group yesterday, who have been missing for nine days.

They're trapped on a muddy ledge inside the cave.

International rescue efforts have been hampered by flooding in the cave network due to heavy rain.

The boys themselves are now being taught how to dive because it's the only way out.

They'll also get food to last four months.
