Toyota says there's a risk the front passenger air bag inflators could rupture.
This happens after prolonged exposure to high absolute humidity, high temperatures, and high temperature cycling.
If a rupture happened it could allow metal fragments to pass through into the vehicle interior at high speed, which could result in injury or death.
Toyota Ireland says it will be writing directly to affected customers to arrange an airbag inspection.
If required the affected airbag will be replaced.
