There's nothing like a cool, creamy pint of Guinness to toast our patron saint.

With St Paddy's Day just around the corner, CV Library has compiled a list of the most expensive places to enjoy the black stuff.

It's no surprise that Dublin was home to Ireland's priciest pint at €4.96 but prices were a lot cheaper in Derry, which is home to the cheapest pint at an average of €3.77.

Waterford and Drogheda also boasted a cheaper Guinness pint where prices averaged at €4.30.

The survey looked at the price of a pint of black stuff in over 200 pubs across 20 different cities across Ireland and the UK.
