The Premier League returns this weekend after the international break so now we don't have much longer to wait before Manchester City are officially crowned champions. A lot of people gave them the league title a long time ago but City could have it wrapped up by next weekend if they beat Everton tomorrow and Manchester United in eight days time. That won't sit well with Jose Mourinho and United who still have some work to do to claim second place. However the recent win over Liverpool means United have a two point advantage over the Merseysiders and they have a game in hand over Jurgen Klopp's side.
Paul Pogba impressed in France's 3-1 win over Russia during the week and is set to come back into the United midfield because Scott McTominay is an injury concern. Mourinho's focus between now and the end of the season will be to make sure of second place and winning the FA Cup. The United manager has no doubt spent a lot of time thinking of ways to improve his team for next season to make sure they can challenge City. United will be expected to beat Swansea at Old Trafford although the Swans have lost just one of their last eight league matches and are a different proposition since Carlos Carvalhal took charge in December. Carvalhal says Mourinho is the king of Portuguese football and the two managers did some of their coaching badges together. The two men need the points for very different reasons but it all points towards a home win.
Ian Beach and Brian Kerr will be in the commentary box for us at Old Trafford and former Republic of Ireland international Matt Holland will be this week's guest in the Boot Room from 5.30.
