Ronnie Whelan, John Aldridge and Jason McAteer are among those paying tribute to former Liverpool captain and coach Ronnie Moran who has passed away at the age of 83.
A member of the famous Anfield boot room for more than three decades, the club have described Moran as one of the most influential figures in their history.

A left back as a player, Moran made 379 appearances for Liverpool between 1952 and 1966.
He then joined the coaching staff under Bill Shankly, continuing to work with nine different managers in the Anfield dug out.
Moran stepped up to the role of caretaker boss twice. Firstly following Kenny Dalglish's resignation in 1991 and then after Graeme Souness underwent heart surgery in 1992.
He was the Liverpool’s longest-serving employee when he retired in 1998.
Terrible news to hear of the passing of Ronnie Moran. A huge influence on the great teams of the 60s 70s and 80s. RIP Bugsy
