Better late than never. Bulgarian Milena Kolena has been has been named as Katie Taylor’s opponent for her fourth professional bout in Manchester on Saturday.
The pair were due to meet in London earlier this month, but Kolena withdrew due to a chest infection. Taylor was left to take on Monica Gentili and stopped the Italian in the fifth round.
Kolena, a former world title challenger, should prove a sterner test. The Bulgarian fought Maiva Hamadouche for the vacant IBF super-featherweight title in January, although she was stopped for the first time in her career in the final round.
